Lulu Boswell is a beautiful Brazilian Mastiff born October 2003.
She developed vision problems before her first birthday, and by 18 months of age, she was completely blind from glaucoma, a disease where pressure builds up in the eye, causing blindness and significant discomfort. At 2 and 1/2 years of age, Lulu had both her eyes surgically removed by Dr. Coudrai to alleviate her pain. She was much more comfortable after the surgery. For the past 7 years, Lulu has led quite a normal life, depending on her other heightened senses to navigate around her home and in this world. Lulu is an example of how something we consider a severe disability doesn't stop our pets from experiencing a full life.
Please consider adopting a "specially-abled" pet like Lulu!
